Workers at this level have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers and in most States it is the highest qualification required at Director or Service Manager level.

Course Details

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care CHC50121 is available to students who have completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care CHC30121.

This course will require you to complete a total of 280 hours practical work placement. These hours will be on a volunteer basis, unless you are already employed in the child care industry, in which case you are more than welcome to use your current workplace and hours to meet the 280 hour requirement. Please note that a minimum of 140 hours must be spent working with 0-2 year olds, while the remaining 140 hours needs to be spent with 2-6 year olds. All hours must take place in an accredited and recognised education and care environment.

We also offer this course via distance training which allows you to complete it at your own pace with the support of a trainer.
