First Aid & CPR
Participants who complete our First Aid course will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in:
HLTAID011: Provide First Aid
HLTAID010: Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID009: Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID012: Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid has been replaced with HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support has been replaced with HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support, HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation has been replaced with HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting has been replaced with HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.
For those who have completed a superseded course, please note it will still remain valid until you need to reaccredit.
Important Information for all First Aid Participants
Due to the potential risk to health and safety where a nominated first aider, or worker with duty of care, does not have the ability to perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the performance standard it is not appropriate to issue a Statement of Attainment to students who are physically unable to meet the assessment requirements'.

All Participants will now be required to physically demonstrate three (3) rounds of 2 minute uninterrupted CPR on the floor.
All participants must obtain a Unique Student Identifier BEFORE they complete the course.If we don’t have your USI before your course date, you will not receive the certificate upon course completion.
Please read the information provided at the bottom of the page about what a Unique Student Identifier is. To obtain a USI, please go to www.usi.gov.au and follow the steps.

Participants who are completing their reaccreditation and did not complete their last First Aid course with Wave Learning will need to provide a copy of their current certificate prior to completing their booking.
It is the responsibility of the participant to provide student identification before a booking is completed to be offered the student rate. No refunds will be offered if the identification is provided after the booking is complete. Student identification must be sighted by Wave Learning staff to be offered the student rate.
Course Refund and Transfer Policy:
A full refund of fees paid will be given if:
- Wave Learning cancels a class and cannot nominate a suitable attendance date
- No refund or transfer will be given after the class has commenced
- No refunds will be given once participants have booked and paid
All participants in the First Aid course are required to arrive at the venue by the appointed time. Any student, who fails to attend or moves WITHIN seven (7) days of their nominated course date will forfeit the ENTIRE COURSE FEE. Wave Learning reserves the right to cancel courses up to 24 hours prior to the commencement of a course.
Should a participant have paid their fee and needs to change their course date more than 7 days prior to the chosen date, a $25 moving fee will be payable to Wave Learning.
First Aid Courses
We reguarly run public first aid courses in Picton, Campbelltown and Menai. We also run private first aid courses for groups which can be arranged by contacting our centre.
